Fiqh Academy mobile app. Last updated: June 14, 2026.
Fiqh Academy Karachi ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Fiqh Academy mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information created when you use the app:
Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider.
Profile information: your city, selected campus, avatar, and spiritual affiliation.
Donation records: donation amount, payment method, WhatsApp number, and the payment receipt screenshot you upload. We do not process payments and we never receive your card or bank details.
Spiritual progress: your Tazkiyah Asbaq progression, zikr alert settings, and nawafil reminder settings.
Usage and device data: in-app actions, app version, device type, and operating system, used for analytics and to fix problems.
Crash and performance data: diagnostic reports when the app crashes or runs slowly.
We do not collect your location.
2. How we use your information
Run and maintain your account and the app features.
Show prayer and jamaat timings for your campus.
Track your progress through the Tazkiyah Asbaq programme.
Record and verify your donation submissions.
Send reminders you turn on, such as nawafil and zikr alerts.
Measure feature use and fix bugs and performance issues.
3. Permissions we request
Camera and photos: to take or select a payment receipt screenshot for donation verification.
Calendar: to add events and prayer reminders to your device calendar when you choose to.
Notifications: to send the reminders you enable.
The app asks for each permission only when the related feature needs it. You can change permissions in your device settings at any time.
4. Analytics and crash reporting
We use two service providers to keep the app working well:
Mixpanel for product analytics. It records in-app events and a user identifier so we can understand how features are used.
Sentry for crash and performance reporting. We configure Sentry not to attach personal identifiers to reports.
5. How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored with Supabase, a hosted database and storage provider. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Receipt screenshots are kept in access-restricted storage. Sign-in tokens are stored on your device using the platform secure store, which is Keychain on iOS and EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android.
6. How we share your data
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share data only with:
Fiqh Academy administrators, to verify donations and manage content.
Service providers acting on our behalf: Supabase (database, storage, authentication), Mixpanel (analytics), and Sentry (crash reporting).
Sign-in providers Google and Apple, only when you choose to sign in with them.
Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
7. Your rights
Access: view the personal data linked to your account in the app.
Update: change your profile information at any time.
Delete: remove your account and data (see the next section).
Control reminders: turn any notification on or off.
8. Account and data deletion
You can delete your account inside the app. Open the sidebar, tap Delete Account, and confirm. This permanently removes your profile, donation records, spiritual progress, zikr alerts, and nawafil reminders. This action cannot be undone.
If you have removed the app or cannot sign in, email info@fiqhacademy.com.pk with the subject "Delete my account" from the email on your account. We will delete your data within 30 days.
9. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data as described above. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.
10. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
